Portrait

The purpose of this assignment was to create a visually appealing image that was also a portrait of a human being. The intended composition of my scene was to both draw the eye to the human face in the top left and also to the painted face on the right. I thought this layout would create a dichotomy between the two and lead to an interesting image. I tried to use the leading lines of the board and rule of thirds to place the points of focus in the proper parts of the image. I believe i succeeded in drawing the viewer's eye to the focal point of the image, and i think my composition turned out satisfying. I used a filter in order to increase the saturation of the image, and used another filter to help blur out the less interesting parts of the image, namely the background.
