The purpose of this assignment was to take a picture of something up close, using depth of field to create an interesting and dynamic image. My image features a large Gnoll figurine up close from a low angle. The composition is intended to focus on the face and the mace of the gnoll, accentuating the color difference. The background was also saturated in order to make the green and the red on the figurine stand out. I utilized depth of field to make the figurine seem larger than it actually was, adding artificial scale to the image. i used this depth of field to draw the viewer's eye to the focal point of the face, as it is one of the only parts of the image that is fully focused. I used levels and curves to balance the image initially, and hue/saturation to make the colors more vibrant.
